Hi Chuk. Amazing thread to read through as always, and as always it has taken away a fair swag of my modeling time !

Thanks for the heads-up on the Airscale placards. I have been considering getting a set for my VFS P-47, and your glowing report has just tipped the scales.

Cheers, D

Good work Chuck! Not an easy fix those tailplanes and tail wheel doors... Nice how you got the internal detail on the tailwheel doors so symmetrical...

I just just took a rather nervous pass on an all-resin 1/48th MPM Me-323 on EBay... Nose, center wing and cowlings actually appeared to be quite good, but alignment problems and the all-resin construction just scared me at the $541 winning bid price... Would love to see you try that one: 44" inch span!

Thanks, my friends!

Jim, it's really great to be able to pop out a vac part when you need it- I'll have to post pics of a home-brew box I use from time to time.

Diego, are you posting your Corsair here? I want to see it!

Gaston, I saw that Me323 thread- holy smokes, what a bird!

Entoni, your Yak is nothing less than a work of art- cheers, Maestro!

Well, I'm back, and have been sneaking time at the bench over the last several weeks. Take it away, Hauptmann Hannah!

Again, and again... for how long you'll make it just perfect!!! Some very nice tricks there, too. I see that you are using Radu's riveter. I prefer the smaller one, but I just wanted to let you know that he made one for corners and hard to reach places, which you might find useful as well... check out his page.

Furthermore, those resin bubbles can be quite anoying. I found it easier to use dilluted Vallejo's plastic putty (which is actually an acrylic paste). There is also very interesting material that you can find in any artist shop... The brand is called Liquitex modelling paste, and it does the trick very nicelly.

All the best!

Direkt unter jedem Namen eines Foreneintrags gibt's eine Zeile mit Schaltflächen:

"Profile" "Photos" "Message" "Hide Use" usw.

Ansonsten kannst du auch an mehrere Stellen auf den Usernamen eines Mitglieds klicken um zur Profilseite zu kommen (z.B. ganz unten bei den eingeloggten Usern oder in den Übersichtsseiten)

HTH

Dear mine, Chuch strikes again!

Yes, I agree with Steffen and you - there's nothing copmarable to a sound of a two-engine Luftwaffe bomber flying around your room!

However, Chuck, it would be nice to see your rendition of the Tante Ju in '48. It's just a suggestion for your next build, it's not like I am pushy or something

Btw, congratulations for your nice work!

Hello Sir,

You made me smile ones & again...!!!

I wish for the paint job, but yout building time is really a class-room...!

I took your suggestion... I open a photobucket acount and Join in to the "Sky Pirates Campagn" whit my Corsair...
I'm a very slow builder, so I only post a few pics from some items in the Cockpit... But I'm here, in this site, prittty nice "pleace"

Thanks

Chuck something I have come across is reusable hand warmers. My wife picked up two of these chemical wonders at a medical show advertised as stethoscope warmers (wonders never cease), these would be ideal for warming specific resin areas to straighten the dreaded warping out. It’s a small heavy plastic sack with the chemicals and a metal popper inside, you pop the popper to cause the reaction and place in boiling water for 10 minutes to recharge them for future use, another plus is that the chemical when activated goes from a liquid to a solid and so conforms to the surface it is applied to.

Back with more! Even with a four-day weekend I feel like I haven't gotten much done- you be the judge. Hey. Fritzi!

Wonderful work on those intakes Chuck!

I wonder how hard you will find keeping the fairing shape around them looking symmetrical: This would drive me nuts...

They did omit a few things after all... I still like what I see of the kit: Was it worse than it looks or about what you expected so far?

Amazing stuff! Chuck, how did you glued that transparent cover in place without fogging it? So much to learn from your builds!

Have a nice day!
