Dmitri and Liubov Baeva have sent us details of the latest quarterscale resin kit from Komplekt Zip - the Lavochkin La-15 jet fighter.
Despite its popularity with pilots, the La-15 ultimately lost out to the legendary MiG-15 in the first-generation of Soviet post-war fighters. So, while around 12,000 MiG-15s were built in the USSR alone, just 235 of Lavochkin's attractive competitor were produced, seeing limited service from 1949 to 1953.

Komplekt Zip's new 1:48 kit includes highly detailed resin parts, a vacuformed canopy, decals and painting masks.

Item #48005 - Soviet fighter La-15 is available now from Soga Miniatures, price: $87.50

That'll be an interesting companion to the Tamiya or Trumpeter MiG-15.

Sounds like a very interesting kit, even with a vacuform canopy, but that price tag of $87.50 is rather high for what comes in the box.
