Not in my happy place at the moment.

Fred

Wait... What.. There IS a happy place ?

No cheers on this one but best of luck

Thanks, I have a two tiered plan:
1. bust out my other Hawk 75 kit and salvage what elements I can from the current build
2. To keep my spirits up, I'm gonna crack open another build while I'm figuring out what the best way to salvage the Curtiss will be.

Cheers,
Fred

After-market decals??

No. I have those but, foolishly, thought the OOB decals would work alright. I don't know why. I've always had varied results with Hobbycraft decals. I guess my memory is short!

Cheers,
Fred

Started my entry by making a brass control column to replace kit one.

I had the same problem with CF-100 decals. I suppose they don't call it Hobbycrap for nothing.

Good luck Fred

Hi everyone,

This is very nice campaign! I started the April War Emil (Bf 109E) in the Royal Yugoslav markings while ago, and I was wondering would it be acceptable for me to enlist for the campaign although the kit is started... I would really like to have it finished!

Is that ok, campaign leader? (and others)

All the best,

Entoni, the aircraft are supposed to be un-built. The hanger queen campaigns are for started kits. Do you have something else you could build that is not started? We would like to have you participate.

Lap Man welcome to the campaign. Your building a favorite of mine, it went through so many paint schemes over its years of operation.

Looks like this campaign has some fresh recruits. Welcome!

While I consider it, by no means, a write off. It is going to take a large amount of work to bring the airframe finish back to the state it was right before I applied decals. (Major buzz kill.)

In an effort to make myself feel better, I'm gonna crack open this little beauty!

Cheers,
Fred

Fred, it doesn't look like a writhe off to me, however the Saetta (our campaign mascot) looks very bella.

Brent,

You're right! I know the campaign rules, and maybe it would be best for me to wait for another hangar queen. I have a lot of different subjects in the stash fit for this campaign, but I don't feel like starting another kit at the moment. I think I would pass this one

Thanks for your consideration...

All the best,

Hi Nico.

You chose a challenging camo scheme there. Those Italian schemes look great.

This is my first Campaign as leader. How is the gallery established? I looked for it today. I may have missed it? There are some with photos ready to post. Also, when the time comes how do I award ribbons?

Just checked again for the Club Med 2013 Gallery; its not there. Aeroscale Moderators, your assistance is needed.

I've given some more attention to the Spitfire. First, I've got some paint on the inside bits and they're almost ready for assembly

Then a test fit to see how it'll look

Spitfires' elevators always dropped to the full nose down position on the ground unless there was a great huge ugly control lock in the cockpit. Tamiya moulds them in the neutral position, so I had to cut the elevators off and do a little filing and sanding to make them droop correctly.
