In recent years we have seen a large growth in products concerning German "Lozenge" Camouflage. It was first called that in official British intelligence reports so that is the term I will use here. Having a keen interest in the subject I have tried to apply this knowledge in detail here in thye Early Aviation forum. There are so many threads on the subject it has met the qualifications for a "primer thread". A thread that has links to the Aeroscale reviews and discussions based here. Like the Fokker D.VII Primer here, it will include all scales.

Very timely Stephen; I was searching for several of these articles yesterday. With so many new products out there and all the "nuances" of application by aircraft type/manufacturer it can get confusing. Thanks for this.............

I have used Pheon 1/32 "Cookie Cutter" 5 color lozenge (in James Fahey comparison) for WnW Albatros DV and it's very convenient and easy to use. The quality and reaction to MicroSet/Sol is predictable and works as well or better as Cartograf decals of the kits. The benefit of pre-aligned ribtapes and lozenge in one go is rather convenient (though at expense of handworked pattern)

I just hope Rowan gets his website together soon as ordering / checking stock through e-mail chain can be quite frustrating.

Looks like Tom Sollers is back at it again after recovering from a prolonged illness.

Aviattic has sent along some 1/48 & 1/32 5 color lozenge. Factory Fresh and faded. This sents are geared for the 45 degree application on the SSW D.III type kits and a few 2 seaters that used the same layout. I have to point out the colors on these Aviattic sets are dead on in my opinion. Richard Willianm Andrews also sent along some bolt layouts of the same lozenge to be cut into rib tapes by the modeler.
