F-16D P.E set
F-16D for Hasegawa kit

by: Sven Harjacek [ SHARJACEK ]

This set near enough contains everything you will need to make your F-16D a contest winning model (Ed - adding A.M parts to a model doesn't immediately qualify you to win, as other skills are needed lol).
It improves almost all aspects of any one of Hasegawa's F-16D kits. The super thin steel etched parts look very realistic and are more accurate than Hasegawa's parts.
In the bag

The three frets are packed in Eduard's standard cardboard backed resealable bag, along with a set of instructions.
The parts are spread out on three frets, 2 large ones and 1 smaller one, a decal/sticker sheet and an acetate sheet. All together the frets contain 137 Photo Etched parts, 6 stickers and 4 acetate parts

The smaller fret includes:
Canopy details
Exterior details (antennas, panels etc.)
Landing gear and wheel details
And a lot of weapon details.

The 1st large fret includes:
Ejection seat details and belts
Foot pedals
Cockpit tub details
Front wheel bay details
Main instrument panel, and side panels
Outer edge of cockpit details.

The 2nd large fret includes:
Air-brake details
Front and main gear leg details
Some more cockpit details
Lot of wheel bay details
And a lot of exterior details.
A small sticker/decal sheet includes:
Main and side panel backgrounds
The acetate sheet holds screen's for optical devices.

The instructions are in two parts, one A4 double side printed page and one smaller sheet.
Both are in black and white line drawings, with additional colours for various parts that need removing or replacing for the P.E parts and the sequence is relatively clear to read.
The first one covers the two large frets, while the smaller one covers the smaller fret.
Conclusion

As I said it improves all aspects of the kit, almost every thing that is missing, has over sized details or lacking details is here.
I got this set together with Eduard masks for the F-16, and it is another nice set from the Eduard Photo Etch line.
Even though this is enough I would and will get some Aires resin detail for more realistic look.

Please remember, when contacting retailers or manufacturers, to mention that you saw their products highlighted here - on Aeroscale.
SUMMARY
Highs: Lots of parts. Improves all aspects of kit. Very thin and sharp details
Lows: None that I found except the relatively high price.
Verdict: Almost a must for anyone who wants to detail his F-16. Highly recommended
