Jet Cockpit Upgrade
Jet Cockpit Upgrade - Etched Brass Detail Parts
  • move

by: Rowan Baylis [ MERLIN ]

Jet Cockpit Upgrade is available in 1:48 and 1:32 scales, with both sets featuring a comprehensive selection of Multi Function Displays, Instrument Bezels, Consoles, Mirrors and Ejection Seat Details (see below for the full list).

The densely packed brass frets are beautifully produced with some exceptionally fine detail. With well over 100 individual items provided in each scale, you have ample to superdetail plenty of builds - and the quality improvement over most kit parts is immediately evident.

Items like the overhead ejection seat firing handles may be a little "one-dimensional" straight from the fret, but can easily be thickened up with paint or PVA.

Of course, the scope of the sets goes way beyond the nominal “Jet” cockpit - many of these parts will be applicable in any subject fitted with modern instruments and avionics. Airscale’s upgrades will be a real boon, whether you’re improving or correcting an existing kit’s “office”, or working totally from scratch.

Each set comes with a simple instruction card giving a useful parts identifier, keying each item to its place on the fret. Both sets include a core selection of items:

I've been modelling for about 40 years, on and off. While I'm happy to build anything, my interests lie primarily in 1/48 scale aircraft. I mostly concentrate on WW2 subjects, although I'm also interested in WW1, Golden Age aviation and the early Jet Age - and have even been known to build the occas...
