About Jim Starkweather (staff_Jim)
FROM: NEW HAMPSHIRE, UNITED STATES

I think the usual kind of review is a better method. Sorry Jim, your expose' falls short in my opinion. If you don't have a basic knowledge "winging it" as you did is really unfair to the book and its author.

Hi Bob I understand where you're coming from. Books are particularly tricky for "First Look" reviews - and maybe even more so live on video. I face a similar dilemma myself at times - in fact I appealed in the Contributors' Forum for reviewers just the other day for some WW1 titles we've been offered. As I told the publisher, I could do the honours, but with so much else on my plate it risks not doing justice to them. Judging by Jim's invitation in the video, he'd be delighted to pass on the book for a fuller review. We always need fresh reviewers, so if you or anyone else want to take a crack at it, just drop Jim or the rest of us a line. All the best Rowan
