CMR have released a resin 1/72 S.E. 535 Mistral. CMR continue to supply modelers with an excellent line of de Havillands gorgeous twin boom jet fighter/bomber.

The Mistral was based on the de Havilland Vampire FB Mk 5 single-seat aircraft. The French built fighter featured a Nene 104 engine and larger wing root intakes. Fuel capacity was increased, cabin pressurisation introduced and the pilot was provided with an SNCASO ejection seat. In addition to its four 20mm HS 404 cannon the Mistral 535 could carry eight T-10 or HVAR rockets, or two 450kg bombs. Around 150 Mistral SE 535 were built by Societe Nationale de Constructions Aeronautiques de Sud-Est (SNCASE) for the Armee de l'Air. The Mistral entered Armee dl'Air service in 1952 and was finally withdrawn in 1961.

The CMR Mistral kit will include:
-complete resin airframe.

-decals, markings for three French Air Force aircraft.
-assembly and painting instructions.
-B&W images of Mistral 7-CE , Mussée de l'Air, Paris.

I have just received my sample by kind courtesy of Mark 1, look out for a review soon. I can tell you now it looks like the ultimate Mistral kit to me.
