Introduction
Mirage 2000 is a multirole combat fighter from French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation. It has been operational with the French Air Force since 1984, and has been selected by Abu Dhabi, Egypt, Greece, India, Peru, Qatar, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates. By 2009, over 600 Mirage 2000 aircraft were in service worldwide.

Mirage 2000 fighters in operation with the French Air Force are: Mirage 2000C/B single seater and two seater for air defence; Mirage 2000N, two seater, designed for all weather nuclear penetration at low altitude and very high speed; Mirage 2000D, an upgraded version of the Mirage 2000N, for automated bombing using conventional and laser guided munitions; and Mirage 2000-5, incorporating advanced avionics, new multiple target air-to-ground and air-to-air firing procedures using the RDY radar and new sensor and control systems.
The Kit
This kit is Kittyhawk's best effort yet. Its crisply molded in grey styrene that seems of better quality then previous releases. Half of the sprues are weapons, pylons and other stores. There are two resin parts. One is a seated pilot figure and the other is an afterburner can. Photo etch is used for the seat harness, gun sight, some small interior bits and for some bits on stores. The cockpit is very nicely done and includes decals as well as raised instrument detail. The seat is nicely done with a lot of additional bits to add detail. This same high level of detail goes into building up the nose and main gear wells. There is a full engine to build up.

There are various parts that have multiples for different versions, pay attention because the instructions aren't necessarily correct. The instruction book is nice but there are a few errors. The decal sheet is beautiful with awesome choices for markings. However a touch thick.
