The Syrian conflict has been in the news now for a number of months- with the opportunity to view the battles up close. Paul decided to try and replicate this in 1:35th scale.
The buildings are scratch built from plaster and foam board and Paul cleverly repurposed a mould from a lamp stand to make minaret tower. The vehicle is Trumpeter's BMP 1 with added armour as per the reference picture. The figures are a mixture of Verlinden and Evolution.

Superb work Paul – a poignant and powerful statement about the stupidity & waste of it all, sooner or later they’ll have to clear up the mess if there’s anyone left to do it. The minaret’s a masterpiece & the whole scene with all its extraordinary detail must have taken hundreds of hours. Bravo

Wow! That is very nice - depiction is spot on... one question - did you scratch build the Big Wheel or is it from an accessory kit? I am always looking for bits like that for my vignettes...
nice job overall!

Wow! I really like the improv cage armour. Isn't building rubble just a lady though? That was probably harder than the entire rest of the build. Came out effective, though I would have added more dust on everything; that's what you come away with from places like that, smells, rubble, death and dust inches thick on literally everything. That and flies...
