Scale Model Challenge
The Scale Model Challenge (SMC) is one of the two annual big scale modeling events in the Netherlands (with the annual Euro Scale Modeling the other). Since its start in 2007, the show is getting bigger and bigger each year, with more models on display and more traders selling their products. This year, the Scale Model Challenge was held in the weekend of 10 and 11 October and comprised even two days, starting on Saturday with SMC Seminar Saturday during which various workshops were given by guests from abroad, and on Sunday the modeling show. The Scale Model Challenge is each year organized by the Eindhoven based Scale Model Factory, a club of enthusiastic scale modelers that has its members throughout the country.

Part of the Scale Model Challenge is the contest, in which modelers can show their models to be judged by a jury. Although the main entries for the contest are figures and armor, also several nice airplane models were entered in this years competition. Given the high number of entries in the contest, I have confined my photos to only the models that are related to aircraft.

Wow, some really cool stuff. I wish there some details on the bases for the aircraft. The F4U and the SBD are my faves

Jelger, Thanks for taking the time to share those photos with us. The level of modeling is beyond belief on the vast majority of them. To bad that the scale is not noted with the models, as most of them seem to be 1/32 scale, but one just can't be sure these days. Joel
