1⁄35The Somme 1916 - Part 2
Ford AmbulanceThroughout the Great War many Voluntary Organisations provided help and support for the troops fighting in France. Without this assistance many would not have survived. One such organisation was the Scottish Women’s Hospitals who ran Field Hospitals throughout the Somme area and collected the wounded form the Causality Clearing Stations close to the front line. They were volunteers and often provided their own vehicles. I chose to model the Ambulance to reflect the invaluable contribution these individuals made.
