On the sunny and rainy Saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd of June the 7th SVM Festival Of Modelling took place, organised by The SVM Modelling Club and their frontman Bine Logar. It was held in the usual premises - the lobby of local town council of Kranj, the capital of Gorenjska region, Slovenia.

The main event was competition in plastic modelling with participants from Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia, more than 60 competitors in total. There were 186 models of all genres in competition and many more on display with aeronautical and AFV sections being the strongest. Beside the modelling competition there were also presentations of die-cast model collections, model railways, Warhammer table games and this year also the LEGO creations and RC models. There were workshops in figure painting, a modelling flea market and a group build. A group of automotive modellers joined forces and in just two days they completed the Tamiya's 1/12th scale Yamaha YZR 500.

To end I would like to commend the organizers for the great modelling event and see you next year. Enjoy...

I forgot to mention that The Best Of Show prize was won by Grega Krizman for his stunning Tamiya's Messerschmitt Me 262 A-1a in 1/48th scale.
