Slovenian Open & Nationals is the most important modelling event in Slovenia.
It takes place once a year in November and traditionally in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.
This year it took place on a cloudy Saturday, the 20th of November.
It has the status of national championship, but considering the fact, that Slovenia is a very small country, it is also open for model builders from other countries. So there were also modellers from Croatia, Italy, Hungary and even Czech Republic.
Every genre of plastic modelling was represented, but I focused mainly on the aircraft models. Here are some of the most interesting ones in all scales.

Hi Marko, Russ here agreeing with Russ. The work is great. It is really nice to see the hobby we love so much flourishing around the planet. I only wish more young people found themselves enjoying model building. I fear for the future of the hobby in that sense. Again, thanks for sharing. Russell

Excellant Marko, a lot of very nice models. Were there any club displays, or were all models entered in the competition?

To Mal: All the models were in competition. In Slovenia we have a category called "Collection of three or more" and It's about models of airplanes of the same type. Another category is called "Twins" - two models of airplanes of same type in different scales. Best regards, Marko PS: Many thanks to all for your approval.
