Hi John, I've been meaning to ask you for a few days now, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to know... What was your "recipe" for the black leather work? What colours did you use? Rudi

Hi Rudi,you have asked what mixes I used for the black leather work on the 1st sergeant.I used all Vallejo acrylic colours.I started with black to which I added small amounts of saddle brown and burnt umber.This is the base colour. I used straight black for the shadowed areas.When it came to the highlighting I used flate flesh rather than white mixed into various mixes of black saddle brown and burnt umber.On the very edge of the straps I gave the most highlight so as to lift the edge and help contrast it with the dark blue tunic.I used the same mixes for the pack as well.I hope this is of help.Kind regards John
