Restarted modelling in late 2005 after a break of over 20 years.Built a lot of armour as a teenager but now concentrating on WW2 aircraft. Some skills are coming straight back to me and Im learning new ones everytime I log on to this site it seems.

Nigel: That is a real solid build you have there! The finish is beautiful and well executed. Definitely a top shelf model, and a great representation of the P-47. Thanks for showing it to us. I'm sure it will inspire others to do the same. Cheers! John

Hi Guys!! Guess what? My P47 was awarded a "Commended" certificate in the Aircraft Class at the Wombourne Aerospace and Vehicle Club annual Model Show today So now my Bubbletop has a certificate for a base and pride of place in the display cabinet! Nige

Thanks guys! Getting a "commended" is really the icing on the cake for this build. Mal,,Ive posted syndicated the build article onto the IPMS UK KITMAKER NETWORK BRANCH,THE BRITISH BULLDOGS..(follow the IPMS link on the left) and will syndicate the photo feature over in a few days. Nige
