:-) BP like I said I'm up for a Hurri group build regardless, there's at least 3 of us and I'm sure more would join in. I think It should be for any scale though. :-)
For me the distinction between a group build and a campaign is, loosely, a GB is more a group doing a similar project, in their own comfort zone. Where a campaign is far wider reaching, with seperate catagories, to still allow as many as possible to take part, either in or out of there comfort zone but idealy "pushing the envelope" a little. Dioramas are not genre pacific so a campaign including dioramas doesn't, necessarily, have to be in the Dio forum. IMHO.
I suggested on the BfB thread that models built for it are presented on a display base, not a dio just a simple base (could be just a map of GB), just so that there is more than just the model. :-)
Anyway when do we start the Hurri GB? Remembering everything else that is going on. :-)

I'm still in with Hasegawa's 1/72 hurricane flown by Bob Tuck.

If someone can tell me the differences in a Sea Hurricane MkIIc and a Hurricane MkIIc (or tell me if anybody makes a Sea Hurri kit in 1:48) I'm in as soon as my decals arrive(The one I want to build is a Sea Hurricane), but would prefer to wait at least until I finish the Spitfire GB.

If (when) my Spitfire is done, and it turns out OK (when it turns out OK) I'd be in the Hurri GB. Might even go back and get that book I saw, to make me decide which one to do

I'd rather wait till the Spit was finished though, but would probably join in any time.

:-) Nice one Roger, Didn't mean to forget you BC. :-)
I think the Sea Hurricane would have to be a conversion Tim. I think ED Models makes some under their, I think, Airwaves banner. Probably found through the big outlets :-)
I'm easy for the start time but I also would prefere to get the Spit build out of the way. I might have something coming up that will slow me down.

Thanks Mal, I thought of a conversion set after I posted earlier, but was getting ready to head out for darts and didn't feel like coming back to edit. I'm going to see what I can find and probably go pick up that MkIIc Hurri I saw.

:-) BC,
Roger, Tim and I are all involved in the the Spitfire build, plus I'm involved in the Corsair build and the Luftwaffe build as well as is BP. Theres a BoB campaign starting in May, so take your pick for a start date, I personally am easy as to start date, but others might prefere to wait :-) I guess you would like to start now? :-)

I just finished an IL-2 Sturmovik and am trying to decide what's next on the agenda.

I may be out of this one. One of my LHS's is having their annual car model contest in a month or two, totally slipped my mind. I need to build 1 or 2 fast as I have nothing I can enter right now (looks like I'm building this Enzo sooner than I thought). Depends on the start date and how fast I can build these things. I'm unemployed so you would think I could churn them out a little faster than I do.

Once a start date is decided I'll see if I can get in on it.

Good news, I found my Sword Hawker Hurricane Mk.I for the group build. This is a much more involved aircraft kit than I am used to. It has 2-bladed and 3-bladed prop options as well as two vacuformed canopies, and 10 resin parts that make up the cockpit, wheel wells, exhaust and a small air intake. It looks much more professional than the ancient Matchbox and MPC I had in my stash. Looks like I'm going to have to dig up some Hurricane references.

:-) I't looks like the BfB campaign might not start until june, so this could start now. Might need a longer than normal time to allow for the fact that some of us, Tim, Roger and myself are involved elswhere and would realistically be able to start now. It's unfare though to hold back those of you hwo are ready to go. So if some one will take this on and get it going, just remember there are possibly 3 of use that would have to catch up :-)

I agree with Mal on this, I feel it could start whenever. I'd be in, and would try and build along with the continuing Spitfire build, it's quite fun juggling several projects :-)

Sorry but I'm going to have to bow out of this, to much on and something has to go. As I will be building a Hurricane for the BfB campaign I'm afraid this is it. I might be able to hope back in at a later date, if I still have time to complete it.
