Guy's and Gal's,

My IPMS branch is looking to organise a show in South East London, now I have been given the duty of doing this and thought I would test the water so to speak.

Dates would be somewhere around May-June.

Venue to be sorted but Royal Artillery Museum in Woolwich is one thought if they allow this sort of thing.

Could you please give me your views and/or any advice as this is the first time I have done anything like this.

ps This may be for 2008 as it may be too late for this year?

Thanks and ciao
Luciano

Thanks Derek, looks like I will sound out the RA Museum then go from there.

Ciao

Definately sort out the venue first and aim for 2008. The RA museum sounds good, if you can get in. I would also think about advertising, when you know the time and place of course. Most model shows are very poorly advertised but most modelling magazines give space to this, for free. Plus of course there are modelling web sites and, via IPMS members leaflets can be placed in model shops throughout the country. Also consider local radio. As Derek says tables need to be sourced and possibly chairs and things like rubbish and electricity spring to mind.
