T-link, unfortunetly I do not currently own reference for the T26/M26 specifically. I do however have a few links to sites that have some pretty good info.
From one site comes this pic which shows metal strips that are "snapped" over the connection points.

This is from this site: M26 Pershing Walkaround
The other sites are here: Armorama's M26 Pershing Links

Hello all,

Currently I'm in the process of starting to build a Tamiya 1/16 M26 Pershing (The green beast). Before I start, I went through the process of researching the tank to see what details I could add to the model that are missing.

My question is, do the Mantlet cover strips contain hex bolts, normal bolts or snaps?

It's funny that some of the pictures I've seen show bolts of some type, but others make it appear to be heavy duty snaps I've also seen a ton of models from other moldelers that have placed small dome bolts on the mantlet to prepresent what's suppose to be there (These were all 1/35 though).

If anyone knows the answer to this strange question I can't wait to hear it.

Thanks
