I have the groundwork done on my winter diorama of a Kingtiger and a Kubelwagen driving past a M4 Sherman that has run out of gas. Both sides of the road are lined with tall pine trees that I made.

My question is related to snow, and to snow on the base to.

Q. Could I just spray a heavy coat of hairspray, apply the snow (baby powder) and the apply another coat of hairspray?

or

Could I spray the hairspray, apply the baby powder, and then spray with a mixture of white glue and water in a spray bottle?

Please let me know, the first one is working and looking nice, but I dont know if it will last and hold.

Thanks!

Chip

hi I normally make my snow with bush snow
its nice because you can put it on with your brush
so the snow will be only where you want it to be
you can buy it in any train store wich stocks bush
it has some glitters in it to to give a realistic snow effect just dont use to much

I`ve bought this Bush snow in germany to test it out
it`s not bad but you can make it cheaper
just pour the baby-powder over your dio abd then spray it over with hairspray works quite well in the bush snow you get this tiny bag with shiny thingies. Look in the arts and crafts store (the store where you can find beads, things for doll houses and stuff for making your own wishing cards and I can name more stuff but I won`t) there you can buy the stuff for very little and you get much more

just a guess

Hi,
They actually mean Busch. It's a German brand for model railroad stuff:
