You have been bitten with the Sherman bug of which there are so many versions it will keep you in kit building for a while. I have been bitten by the GMC-CCKW bug which will keep me going for quite a while too. SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE, AT LEAST, ARE GOING TO BE BUSY. So good luck pal.

Cliff (I'm still a driver) :-) (:-)

You will love the bug bites you get from the Sherman. Is there any other way to go?
Enjoy! #:-)

There are so many bugs out there, let us hope they don't start making vaccines! There is the color blind bug, which I have at the moment. This one loves to see the rosier side of olive drab. Then there is the color fond bug, which makes the contractee struggle to get out of the multi-colored German zone. Then there is the "now" bug which gives the sufferer the inability to look back farther than 1946.There are many more, too many to list, actually.I look to the times when my world expands and my taste changes to another strain of the bug.

The neat things about Shermans is even though they all "look" alike, they are all different. They are much more than OD green standard medium tanks and the variations are endless, especially if you branch off into the more modern variants. They have a life span that went on and on.

I can't think of any another totaly delightful ailment . The known cure is to build yet more detailed variants . Known strains include WW2 ,Korean,Israeli and chilean. Any of which will lay you up for months at a strectch. Take lots of PE and resin which are almost as good as My grandmother's chicken soup. :-) :-) :-)

I know what you mean. I had just completed Tamiyas M4 when the sherman group build started. So I bought that kit to join in and also when I was there I bought the M32 recovery vehicle and an M7 priest. 3 totally different models but all sherman based. My plan is to build all 3 and then paint them at the same time to save time!

I have been trying to resist building a Sherman... but I may give into the weakness...
The next trip to Hobby Lobby I will probably bring home Tamiya's M1A1 and their 'Jumbo Sherman"...
My goal is to have the first M4 as a quick, enjoyable OOB build, taking no longer than a month. ..........Yeah, like that's gonna happen! #:-)

Plasticbattle care ful with that M32 its got the wrong upper hull. .You can get the right one from Tank Workshop or find a DML early M4a1.

Hi, Branden. I'm a Shermanholic as well, It started with a Italeri kit, and via the Tamiya 1:16 M4, 105mm howitser full options r.c. model, I'm working right now on a M-32 recovery vehicle sitting on top of a Dragon Wagon. So who's bitten by the BUG?

Best regards, John.

You may want to skip that Tamiya Jumbo and go with the M4A1 or M4 early.

The Jumbo is a pretty inaccurate kit.

While the other two I mentioned have their shortcomings, I think they would be a better choice OOB.

Hi,

I'm a Shermanholic and I'm building a list of links about the Sherman tank at the web.
You can find it here at ArmoramA - Sherman Tank.
