I agree with all the comments listed thus far. The Dragon wagon pulled and towed about everthing during and after W.W.2 I have some photo of one pulling and towing german armour even at the end of the war ( like German tanks that were not put in production) I will do some digging to find these photos. I got them off my Dad who is a old tanker and these were from old books that were put together in the late 40's

I can't think of any, but archer dry transfers. They are not specific to the DW but are impressive on it. BTW Panthers were as big as the crew would go. More often than not, the DW crew wouldn't even put a Panther on the trailer unless it had a damaged suspension. You will see more pictures of the DW pulling a panther than having it on the trailer. But they puleed, dragged, carried everything underneath the panther's weight. I have heard a story of the DW towing a tiger without tracks on roadwheels, but have nothing to substantiate it, so take it with a grain of salt. It wouldn't have been over rough ground, I gaurentee you that. If you want a couple ideas, try a Cromwell or something Italian, or something free french. You never see anything about the other countries vehicles on the DW, but they were used to support both the British and the French if the need arose, I don't doubt they were used in the cleanup of Italy as well.

Also, get a lot of chain for it. It looks good with a lot of chain.

PS. I have two DW's and my mother is shipping me another for Christmas, so I have a few other thoughts on it.

I figured that the Dragonwagon could carry anything up to a panther but was wondering if it would have carried the others.With the picture of the LCP's on the back,I should have figured that these crews could figure out a way to get a herd of cows up the ramps if need be(interesting dio idea).Now,does anyone know of any aftermarket decals for this kit?

Thanks, but I can't take the credit. They are not by me. I have built a dragon wagon though. Sounds kind of like the Holioday Inn Express commercials.

Yes to all. The Dragon Wagon was rated at 40 Tons, but could (and often did) carry more than that. Basically, anything that could fit on them was carried on board. The most unusual was when LCMs were transported from the French coast to the Rhine river for the allied crossing on the back of dragon wagons. I ahve also seen photos of Panzers and even Panthers on Dragon Wagons. There is a photo of a Panther on a DW here: DW with Panther , along with a graet looking model and lots more DW info.

This is most likely been posted and discussed to the bone but,here it goes anyway.Would the dragon wagon be used to haul a DUKW?Would the U.S.use a Dragonwagon to haul a Panzer(panther,panzer III &IV)to a makeshift repair depot?Thanks for all info you guys can give.
