Hi Boss,

Yup its been real quiet here. Haven't heard from Opie, Valkyrie, Mismld and the others for quite a while.

I hope the ops on your daughter is not too major but regardless all the best for a safe ops and a speedy recovery.

I just submitted an article on tropical jungle dio layout and some possible ways of making one to the Feature section. Don't know when they'll put it up though. Its a 2-parter and I'm working on the second one.

I'm more or less halfway through a little Nam vignette for my brother when he's back from US for the holidays.

Boss, with you gone that probably leaves me, Ave, Haunted tank and occassionally Mojimbo here. It's going to be more quiet than KL downtown on the eve of CNY/Hari Raya.

Hello guys....

Was in Sarawak from 23/2 to 24/2. Spend the Friday in KL, shopping for my baby's clothes (and models too!). On leave on the 26/2. And then went to Penang from 27/2 until yesterday.

On the modeling front, I got Neomega's 1/72 Frogfoot and Fencer cockpit set from Hobby HQ. And then went to MH, pondering whether to buy Italeri 1/72 Strike Eagle (decided not to, unless I find Academy's or Revell's to kitbash 'em). At the same time drooling over Trumpeter's 1/350 Admiral Kuznetsov and Nimitz.
Just finished my Italeri Mangusta last night. Next up: Italeri A-10 Warthog and maybe that Frogfoot.

Yo CK

Did someone mention 'HauntedTank' ? Ah-ha...I'm still here as predicted. Just submitted a couple under 'airbrush'. Taking a break from building as I've just sold a 1/72 A-6E Intruder on auction ( scored biiiig ), listed one today and just completed a 1/16 figure which will be up for grabs on eBay next week. Gotta start soon on a commissioned 1/48 Flanker from a client in Australia. Being a WWII buff I can't seem to be able to start on this build - call it modeler's block. Client must be fed up waiting coz his silence is deafening ! Might be starting this in the next few days. Hope to finish on time before my dear friend sends me his F14 and the others he has lined up. I've become a slave to my hobby that's why I'm taking it easy today and try to catch up on the forum.

I'll try to get the Tamiya catalog with pics and prices ready soon. The NVA Sappers you ordered looks great. Will send to you soon. Another vignette for your brother or keeping this sought after kit all to yourself ?

Glad to hear Boss man's daughter's op went well.

Regards

Patrick,

Thanks again for the help on the Sappers. This one is MINE, ALL MINE. Will be a while before I get to it though. Should hopefully finish the one for my brother over this next 2 weeks and then it either the Wright flyer or another little vignette with Green Berets providing medical treatment for some Montagnard villagers (as usual my ambition not matched by skill situation).

Ahh, Boss its good to see you in seashape & seaworthy. Pretty quiet here, just me, Target_J, Mojimbo, Ave and Haunted Tank while he was on MC.

You should have packed some parts of your sub to fix during your downtime at the platform. BTW try to look out for stuff on the platform we can use for scratchbuilding. You never now, once I came across a Japanese California roll maker that can be used for a bamboo fence for farm animals while shopping with the Home MInistry.

Next time leave your sub with me and I will "volunteer" to fix it for you (hehheh).

Take care. Heard the fishing is pretty good at these platforms.

Ave I was trying to see your finished submission for AGE2 but I couldn't find any pics. How about a link to the pics or putting some photos up here for us to enjoy?

Anyway congratulations on finishing 2 campaigns. 2 more ribbons for you then.

Boss its good your'e back and holding the Conn except its been really quiet around here. How's the little fella doing? How long has the cast to stay on?

Boss, its just my suggestion but maybe you could PM some of our new recruits, welcoming them and encouraging them to participate more. We do get quite a number of lurkers but its sayang they don't participate.

BTW Hilmi, one of the guys that run the Kg. Baru outfit recently registered. At least I think its him. I dah PM him to confirm but no reply. Plus I haven't heard from our lady modeller, Mislmd & Kenny for quite a while too.

Hei Boss, that's still the best model you've "made" so far. Much better looking than your Kilo sub despite her cast. Excellent paint work on the face, hehheh. Maybe when you have leftover paint you can camo her cast.

Its good to hear she's fine but you may need to figure out how to scratch her in a month or 2 as her outer skin will start to dry & peel off making her itchy. Had a cast once after breaking my ankle while attempting to play soccer in the estate.

Mojimbo looks like you have company on your job situation. Mine s**ks major bad too thanks to my greedy, meglomaniac boss. Must be our karma. I need a new job like in last year.

very funny beachbum......
in fact, in did occur to me to camouflage her.... but on second thought i think that would not be such a good idea...paint can be hazardous expecially the fume...haha

ti havent figure out yet how to scratch her...maybe i will insert some soft sponge and wire to rub her...hehe

yo Jimbo..take it easy...... i've been working in my deartment for almost 6 yrs now...memang bosan!!!
take a rest and spend more time in armorama....
