Interesting find by a family of tourists. The interior condition of one of those tanks leaves a bit to be desired.

Is it common in the IDF to leave their armored vehicles unguarded like this?

That's too bad, I was just about to book a vacation to Israel

On a serious note, once Covid finally goes away, I wouldn't mind taking my family to Israel. I was there as a kid and remember seeing a good amount of war wreckage. Somewhere I have a picture of me holding an Uzi next to an off-duty solider. It's a beautiful country.

There're speed traps. We have unmanned vehicles like this, that sit unoccupied along the highways, in the Republic of Florida.

I was there in '73. Took the bus from Ben Gurion airport to Jerusalem. Saw a lot of derelict armor and other vehicles along the highway.

LOL, I might have been on the same bus. Pretty young but still remember all the blasted vehicles pushed to the side of the road.

John & John,

You're probably both reffering to the knocked out armored trucks and buses from the Independence War that were destroyed while delivering supplies to the encircled Jewish enclave in Jerusalem.

Those wrecks are still there, they were turned into monuments. On Independence Day they're covered with flags and flower wreaths.
