I haven't heard from Dave in Ages.....
Maybe some measurements will help, when coupled with Dave's pics?
Overall dimensions of the M172A1 are:
Length: 414 in. (10.52 m)
Width: 115 in. (2.92 m)
Height: 68 in. (1.72 m)
The M172 trailer is slightly shorter, at 406 inches, while the width is identical. These semitrailers have open wheel wells and a usable bed length of 192 inches. M172A1 has 19 lashing rings (D-rings); 5 on each side, 3 on the rear, and 6 on the gooseneck.

Talking about the 25-ton M172A1, you'll find some 4-view drawings on page 304-305 of Technical Bulletin 43-0209 :

Thanks Matt and Frenchy. I have the TM bookmarked and his Photobucket pictures. Was just curious if he was still around as I liked a lot of his work. I was a dozer operator and we hauled our stuff around with the M 123 and this trailer, so was hoping someone would come out with it someday. I have the Tank Workshop tractor and had the D7 either straight or as Rome Plow and this trailer on my wishlists for years. Guess they are waiting for someone to scratch one before they bring them out. Anyway, thanks for the responses. Take care, Wayne
