Martin (brandydoguk) delivers a fine looking aircraft diorama on this OnDisplay feature.

A quote from Martin:

"This is Tamiya's 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf109E-3 depicting the aircraft of Hptm Wilhelm Balthasar, Gruppenkommander III/JG3. The kit was painted with Humbrol enamels and Tamiya acrylics and the decals are from Superscale. The cockpit was detailed with the Aries resin and etched update set. The panel line weathering was done with graphite powder and the wheels and exhaust stains were done with Mig powders. The simple base was painted brown and covered with static grass and the tree is a twig found in the garden. The figures are from the Dragon Luftwaffe pilots and groundcrew set and were painted with cheap art acrylics."

Martin, thanks for the submission and I apologize for taking so long to get it up.

Martin,

I really liked the camo color combination for your 109 ie.not "the standard type" most people go for. And judging by the pics you've done a very good job with the Aires cockpit set. In short, well done I also like the posture of the figgies. They really give the "bird" life, if you catch my drift. Almost forgot, a way to correct a sagging antenna wire is to light up a match, blow it out and hold it under. The heat will make the fishing line contract. However a warning is in order regarding this method, since it takes some practice to master it.

Cheers
EW
