Thanks for sharing! They look good to me.
Are these all out-of-the box builds or did you use any AM products?

Hi James,

Thanks for looking.

The Academy kit has a set of Legend's resin stowage set. The tow chains from my spare box & bits of details added. Antennas are from brass rods tie down with couple of strand of hairs

The Meng's 3D is box build. Only extras are the some chains, wine foil for the turret stowage unit sign boards & brass rod antennas.

Cheers

Hi Robert,

If you have the patience for individual track links, go for the Meng's kit. The tracks are frustrating to build but the result is very good compared to the rubber band track by Academy.

Very nice build! May I know how do you bend and set the antenna on Merk. IID?

The color and weathering look really good. The idler sprocket seems to have an issue because the track seems to tilt inward where it goes around the sprocket.

It's brass rods. The tips are layers of superglue & base spring from thin craft wires. Tie downs are strands of hair, of which, 1 has gotten loose cause the base broke & has to be re-glued.

The idlers are loose in the first place & the camber of the tracks are actually caused by the rubber band tracks which somehow have deformed during the painting & weathering proces. Couldn't seems to get it back to shape & difficult to glue down the idlers as the hull & skirts are already fixed for good. A set of Meng's individual track links would be nice for the Academy's kits
