Hello guys,

Here is the kit I got on my bench.

It is still a WIP although I started bulding it in January.

A bit of scratchbuilding is required to put this kit to the 2000-5 standard I am after.

Next very soon

And then I started the Front landing gear.

It needs detailing. Wires and stuff...

4000 litres of kerosene add some weight so...

And now, wires and hoses !!!!!!

Here is where I am in the build.

I will update you as soon as I can.

Cheers from France,

Richard

Brilliant work and finish Richard and isn't the M-2000 a lovely looking aeroplane.

I have picked up some great tips here for when I do their D/N version of this kit.

Thanks for sharing your tremendous work and efforts.

Hello guys,

Here is an update of my 1/32 Kitty Hawk Mirage 2000 build.

90% done now.

It is a very good kit.

It really starts looking like a Mirage 2000-5 now

That's it for today folks !

Take care and stay home

Brilliant work Richard, those close ups are particularly stunning. You would be forgiven mistaking them for the real thing

Richard, Did you use the kit decals or did you have an aftermarket sheet?

I used both the kits' and an aftermarket decal sheet by FFSMC in France. You can find these on their ebay store.

And now I am calling the Kitty Hawk Mirage 2000-5F done

A bit more than 4 months from the end of december to may 8, 2020 which is quite fast per my standards.

The last details took a long while. It was my 1st 32nd kit thats probably the reason why. But this kit made me love this scale ! Won't be my last in 1:32.

Extensive pics below

Cheers !!!

Richard! Just beautiful! I so wish there was a good Mirage 2000 in 1/72...

We usually spend the summers in the south of France and get to see quite a lot of Mirages, the house is overlooking a valley and they actually pass below us every now and then. They are usually 2000N but the fighter version is something special!

Well done!

I spent approximately 150+ hours building it.
Started the build december 25, 2019 (as soon as I got it for Xmas ) and was done by May 8th 2020.

Hi Richard,

Congratulations on a fabulous build of a lovely plane. I'm a Brit living across the border in Switzerland. I have a soft spot for anything with a delta wing and having wrestled with Italeri's Mirage IIIC some time ago I have extra admiration for a job well done.

What's next?

Bon soiree!

Steve.

Superbe.
Bookmarked some detailing tips I will certainly use in the future.
Well done and a lovely bird to have in your collection I guess.
Hats off for you, Sir.
