Apparently project 'Carmel' covers the integration of new technologies into existing AFVs as well as a development of a future light AFV optimized for the use of those technologies.

That old Xbox controller is the ultimate proof that the IDF is getting the most out of its old hardware. Any hardware...

Yes, truely impressive. I think the M113 used predates that controller somewhat... proving the IDF certainly do get the mileage out of their kit.

To achieve that level of situational awareness when buttoned down, and with a crew of two is aspirational. I’d be intrigued to see the ECM capability of the vehicle, too. It is almost an iTank.

Good link, thanks, here’s another http://sturgeonshouse.ipbhost.com/topic/1499-israeli-afvs/page/42/

All three competitors used the M113 as their demo vehicle. Judging by the external similarity between the vehicles of Elbit and Rafael we can have a pretty good idea how the production vehicle should look like.

Project 'Carmel' is actually an acronym of 'Kley Rechev Mitkadmim Leyabesha ' which roughly translates to 'Advanced Ground Combat Vehicles'.
