Given how late this is, I'm going to go ahead and use the blue and white ribbon Thomas proposed and give those out. Let me know if you didn't get one and think you should have!

I can make that work. And it goes better with the ribbons from the previous campaigns.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

The problem is that, even though I asked a few times, I never heard for sure what ribbon your campaign leader wanted. If you all would like me to just use one of the ones that Thomas proposed, I'll be happy to wrap it up.

Hi, I also have a mig the ICM Mig-29 as this has Damgarten decals i decided to do one of these (i was once at Damgarten when these where flying their and have seen one of these special green one's)

This model has a mix of raised and proper pannel lines and a lot off flash and no cockpit details,.. also it's a bit "old fashioned" however i bought it for a couple off euro's so no further complaints
Building was straight forward but it needs some TLC

so i took some more pictures off the procces but my hard drive has now difficulties to find them any way the caps are scratched

Now in East Germany these Mig could easily been seen from outside the Russian Bases however when not flying these looked all cocooned so this is how i remember Russian Mig's in the Former DDR.

thanks

Ok, The F-15E itself is almost done and should be capable of flight testing by tomorrow.

20190826_022831

Its finally starting to get closer to completion.

As for The campaign ribbon, I like the second one, mainly because the its colours kinda stand out more. but i don't mind which ribbon gets chosen.

Should I be asking if folks want an extension at this point?

Also, nudge nudge, still no ribbon. Do you all think one of Thomas' will do it?

Alright folks, I'm calling this one done

It seems 1/48 is a challenging scale for me; flaws are really amplified as compared to 1/72 and smaller. It's a good learning experience though. I learned a lot about lacquers, that's for sure. Anyway, for the base, I found a tactical looking map of Cottbus, home of JG3.

And here's nice parting shot for the F-15 (looking great, BTW!!!).

Hello Everyone,

Quick progress on my F-15E.

Here i got started on priming and painting

20190820_130432

Here is a good use for all the spare useless sprues

20190820_171329

20190820_171759

20190820_205817

A lot of masking. i should have done the overall scheme afterwards. but ok.

20190820_223401

20190821_000227

Details painted

20190821_000227

Here I'm trying to achieve an uneven metallic effect.

20190821_230618

20190821_233054

I found a good use for the old f-22 masking for the wheels.

20190821_234527

20190822_155318

20190821_234634

I had a little nasty accident

20190822_152900

But then it got fixed

20190822_160840

20190822_192247

As you can see, I've been working like mad to get this F-15E done. i haven't had much of an opportunity to build a project this quickly in quite a while. it should be completed by the 27th, hopefully.

Hello everyone. my entry to this campaign will be the Great wall Hobby F-15E Strike eagle in 1/72 scale. It is a very nice kit. easy fit, quick to build. the only down side is the instructions has numerous noticeable errors. however, this is the 4th F-15E that i will build so i kinda know what i'm doing.

20190814_181109

20190815_114219

20190817_223131

20190819_194000

The kit depicts a radar in the nose but im gonna cover it up with the nose-comb and position it in a ready to fly state.

20190819_232952

I started this model only a few days ago and now i should start the overall painting tomorrow.

Here are the prizes for the unlucky contestant: A full happy family outing to (insert country). A mummy, a daddy and their 8 kids.

@Joe, your job in the Mig29 is incredible.....

Im going with this

IMG_7140 by Shaky962, en Flickr

When I bought the Hasegawa kit, I saw that it had no detail inside the jet intake. This forced me to find the solution to remedy it with the purchase of XMM resin jet intake. I`m really disapointed with this kit. If you want a good kit of the Super Hornet first see the Revell or Academy option.
