SI,

Your PE work always looks great.

Those gouges look deep, sure the decking will sit OK without a good backing?

Mark

Thanks Mark,

The quality of the PE helps.

The gouges aren't that deep, but I think you are right, a skim of filler would be sensible.

Cheers

Si.

Do my eyes deceive me or does that one 3 inch gun look a tad wonky?

Thanks Mark,

It is nice to have a little colour amongst the grey; And Mrs Duster might let me have her on display when she is commissioned.

Made a small start on the after bridge.

The deck as moulded a more compact version of the fore bridge.

As far as I got, couldn't get I the zone on Sunday.

Had a crafty day off today to get some time in at the work table.

The underside structure of the after bridge.

Test fitted.

All good, painted and the wood deck fitted.

Pontos provide replacement structure for the bridge houses, however, studying the photos of the ship in 1902, she did not the grills across the windows so I have stuck with the kit parts.

sprayed, the doors picked out and the wood decking on the compass platforms fitted.

The compass platforms fitted out with binnacles, voice pipes & railings.

The forebridge, with its deckhouse and searchlight tracks fitted. The tracks were sprayed white, the grove given a steel colour and a glossy (grease) dark brown.

The after bridge at the same point.

A bit of railing origami for the forebridge.

The forebridge, railings, and ladders fitted.

and the after bridge.

An overview of the build so far.

Next job, the main turrets.

Cheers

Si

Wow, Si! Really blown away with your current progress. Everything looks excellent! Do you have a Borodino in your collection? Or, plans to build one?

Thanks Gaz,

The quality of the kit and the upgrade set do help, the other thing is planning.

I built the Zvezda kit of the Borodino a few years back, under all the heavy sprue gates and a bit of flash, it was quite a nice kit with the GMM etch, Mater barrels & ArtWox deck.

appreciate you looking in mate.
