Those props do look very detail. Being 3D printed did you have any problem with painting them?

I have some 3D parts for future kits and been reading about how some of the material they use to print these with are real funny on the type of paint you can use.

Hi Si,

another wonderful project of a rather small and rarely (if at all) built model! Camo looks great!

I'm in and watching!

They are very nice indeed Mark, The Citadel base colour paint seemed to stick to them ok, seemed to take a little longer to cure, but did not flake off under handling.

Glad to have you along for the ride mate,

This is L'arsenal's latest offering, very nice indeed, but a large number of small parts.

Cheers

Thanks Russ,

It was a little on the tricky side, it was the other reason for picking this vessel out of the class.

Thanks for looking in mate.

Thanks Mark,

This is a very nice kit, don't quite recall so many parts in such a small ship.

The weekend's progress.

More detail on the foredeck.

Work on the forward 4" gun, the kit supplied parts, including brass barrels are very good.

assembled without the shield.

Fitted in place.

Slight bit of bad planning on my part, omitted to fit some of the etch to the bridge prior to spraying.

More soon.

Cheers

Si

Si,

This kit really has some nice detail to it, digging how the secondary guns look.

Thanks Mark,

If I may correct you mate, those are the main guns. The type III Hunts had two twin 4", on in "A" position and one in "X" Position. a quad 2pdr pompom, three 20mm Oerlikons and 2 torpedo tubes, along with the usual depth charges rails and throwers.

The kit guns are very nice, easily match up to the North Star items.

Si,

I stand corrected. Didn't notice those were the same guns under the shield.

Thanks Mark,

lots of small parts, but they do add more depth. Nice not to have to splash out on aftermarket weaponry.

No worries Mark.

To be fair that mount was used as secondary armament on a lot Battleships & cruisers.

It is Russ,

This is turning out to be quite a handful for such a small vessel.
