I am building a Vietnam era 1/48 scale Skyraider from VA-176 aboard CVS -11 Intrepid. I need some help. What is the best brand and color to use for that Navy gray shade? Does anyone know where I can get the decals for VA 176? I am not an airplane builder, but I bought the kit at a swap meet and I am anxious to get it done.

Hi,
Decal wise, Cutting Edge did do a decal set called "Skyraiders 2" but its OOP. Other then that, one of the Tamiya, and the Esci/Ertl kits both had the markings for VA-176 in the box.
As for the grey, that would be light gull grey, as for brand, that all depends on what paints you can get.
