Bob, I'm not sure. I think the original price was about $50, as it's a multi-media kit. I can get the owners phone number and ask. I'll PM you with the answer.

Bob, I've spoken with the LHS owner, and he has the kit. Here's a blurb on it at Scalemates:

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/252930-czech-model-4813-curtiss-a-12-shrike

I was mistaken, its by Czech Model, not Special Hobby. My buddy at the LHS is holding it for you, I'll send a PM with the contact info.

Anything French in 1/48 and 1/32, from mainstream producer. How come that one of the biggest Airforces of ww2 is represented in 1/48 by only a couple of shortrun kits ? The same goes for Italian planes.
Hellcat in 1/32 (a proper one)
Mustang (B and a nice one) in 1/32
Ki-43 in 1/32 (a proper one)
Il-2 in 1/32 (again a proper one)

Where is a 1/48 Invader, Marauder and a proper Boston ? What about a NICE Mig-15, 17, 19 in 1/48 ?

And this is just mainstream, dont get me started on the less-known subjects

Well it's been something I have been after for sometime, in 1/72 all we have is the old Frog kit, the limited run HighPlanes kit or the 2005 Special Hobby kit while in 1/48 all we have is a vac kit.

Special Hobby announced a 1/48 version around 10 years ago and still nothing

Can we please have a mainstream kit of the Bristol Beaufort in both 1/72 and 1/48.

Not aircraft, but this sounds like fun:

A 1/24 X-Wing and a Tie fighter from Star Wars

HMS Rodney in 1/350 & HMS Illustrious from WW2

...large scale fuselage or cockpits too--or even turrets and gun positions

Yes, LS gun turrets and positions would be great!

1/48 A-26 and B-26: Monogram
1/48 A-20 Havoc/Boston: AMT
1/48 MiG-15: Monogram and Tamiya
1/48 MiG-17...got me there. Hobbycraft but I recall the quality is mediocre.
1/48 MiG-19: Trumpeter - I had one once and recall it is a nice kit.

Fred,
Agreed that Monogram has both the A-26 & B-26 in 1/48 scale as AMT has a A-20, but I'd also like to have current molds of those 3 aircraft. The A-26 has all sorts of detail issues as well as raised panel lines. The B-26 was 1st molded way back in the mid 1970s, so while a nice kit, it has it's issues as well.

I also put on my wish list a replacement for the Monogram OS2U Kingfisher, a truly great kit in its day, but time has also passed this one by.

For me,
it would be great if there were a B-29,B-26 Marauder or A/B-26 Invdader(especially a Viet Nam counter Invader). A Stirling, Wellington or Sunderland. New tool Beaufighter and a Do17Z Battle of Britain timeframe
F101 Voodoo or F102/106 and an RAF/RN Phantom or Folland Gnat. AC-47 and regular Dakota, JU 52 or C54. All in 1/32
In 1/48 a Globemaster or C133 or C97.
dreams......

Harrier GR1
SEPECAT Jaguar - any early mark
Tornado GR1

I agree that there are kits out there of these planes, but nothing I would consider getting hold of. If You look at the current 1/48 bombers from ICM, those Monogram kits are horrible. Trumpeter does have the MIGs in the catalogue, but If I compare it to what Eduard has offered with the Mig-21, those three are far faaar behind. As one wise member here once said. There is nothing like an unbuildable kit, just kits not worth building.

Edit : With how things are going right now I bet we will see that 1/350 Ilustrious sooner than a decent 1/48 Mig-17 or 19 (hope Eduard will scale up their 1/72 Mig-15 at some point).

I'll second that ! I spoke with a gentleman from the Eduard Organization at the IPMS USA Nats in South Carolina two summers ago suggesting that they do just that - He seemed surprised at my wish but said their development time from concept to production was a minimum of two years so perhaps we may see it yet !

Or maybe the Ukrainian companies will pick up the MIG family kits, their being realy productive lately and they have a lot of examples to study over there.

Great thread. There are so many subjects I just totally forgot about in my previous post. But my problem is not new kits, but finding ways to build all the old so I'm sort of stuck with old kits.

A good injection moulded CAC Boomerang in 1/32 would do it for me.
