Hi everyone,

Finished this beauty in the Nighshift Campaign recently.
It's the venerable Tamiya kit, with added PE, make for almost all markings, since the only decal used were the tiny numbers "76" and "176" and these behave perfectly. Resin gun barrels were also used.

Hope you enjoy, photographing this model made me think I need to build a large photo box.

Cheers
Pedro

One of my absolute favorite kits. Incredibly underrated.

Nicely done.

I watched the build with interest Pedro during the campaign. Fantastic work for a well deserved result. The weathering looks spot on and I absolutely love the result you've achieved. Nicely done buddy!

Pedro,
A rock solid build, with a most impressive overall finish, coupled with some realistic weathering for a operational Japanese aircraft.

@ Richard - thanks for the comments. I agree with you, some more Japanese and other nations AF do make a welcome change from the more usual American, German and English stuff.

@Matt- thank you mate, and yes I feel this was one of the best Tamiya kits I’ve tackled, both in terms of detail and construction wise. The turn off part is the rather dullness of all versions of the Irving, which I think contribute to it’s rare sightings in shows and posts online, which is undeserved.

@ Chris- Thanks mate! It was a pleasure to participate in the campaign, we had some rather exotic subjects presented there, such as your Mirt. Cheers

@ Joel- Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it a lot. Cheers

@ Terry- Thanks for the comments, glad you like it. And yes the Gekko is not our usual build, but it deserves to be more often built.

Wow Pedro!
Those exhausts are just stunning. Very realistic.
I'm not familiar with this kit; I'll have to look it up.

Thank you Wiggus! look it up, you’ll find that this model is one of the best from Tamyia, and all it needs is a lilltle added details here and there to be a most realistic model. Definitly worth building

Cheers
Pedro
