Playing around with different gloss coats, not entirely happy with them but they will have to do.

Decals go on easy, which is consistent with my experience of Eduard so far.
There is a choice of black or white stencils, but no indication of which aircraft might require which colour. There is only a single stencil decal placement diagram to cover all schemes, and indicators show the colours as optional choices.
Based on that, there is enough decals to do four aircraft, which is good because if I can get hold of an aftermarket cockpit and engine, I can turn this dual kit into a trio.

The landing gear are quite spindly and delicate feeling. inward angle is set by the angled strut, but care has to be taken getting the forward angle right, and the strut attachment point is very small.

And the final touches are all on. Had a slight slip up while gluing parts in the canopy, and there's now a smudge on the right side. Only did some quite light weathering. The wing-root gun barrels were replaced using unneeded parts of the sprue that looked about the right diameter and length.

The large black segment on each side was actually on the decal sheet, but I didn't realise and painted them. Glad I went with paint rather than the decal as I think it would have been a pain to deal with.

Iain,

Very impressive to say the least.
