That sounds good Lucky I do like the idea of the Italian mountain Artillery What scale are all of these going to be in?

Air will be 1/144 a F.2B biff in the Italian theatre or Palestine but just checking the stash could be a Hanriot HD.1 in either Belgium or Italian markings or all four!
Land is 1/72 and the ships are 1/350.
Last weekend I made a start on one of the Deport guns (I’m building four on a small base) and the SMS Grosser Kurfürst (ICM kit with Artwox wooden deck, WEM pe and Master brass main guns). Removed all the deck rails (for the ships boats) and hatch detail ready for the wood deck plus assembled the main gun turrets and some of the superstructure.

If I get to the French battleship it will be the pre-Dreadnought Voltaire.

Good to see you back Lucky.

hello lucky! are you planning on rigging the F2B? in 1/144? if theres one skill we'll improve on for this theme it will be working with tiny parts!
i've gone and dusted off the WW1 part of my stash, thought i had a few kits from that era but there's a fair bit more than i remembered -

the most impressive box is this one -

however on inspection the lozenge decals with this kit might not be in the best condition, so i'll leave this for a while, and maybe start on the roland C-II, as it seems to be the least fiddly rigging and strut wise.

Now that is something that I should do Paul I once gave a talk on that very subject for my Senior NCO's course

I wouldn't know where to start though and that is definitely a boxed diorama?

Mal, that’s my plan.

Air - British RFC or RNAS
Land - Italian mountain Artillery
Sea - German battleship and if time allows a French battleship

Yep everything and anything to do with WWI

This is sounding really encouraging already folks.
I am trying to put together not just British and German but figures across the timescale and from other nations if possible.

I've got a 1/35 1914 Rolls Royce armoured car planned at least, others may happen, but who knows...

I have been back home from the IPMS Scale Modelworld show in Telford for about 2 weeks and I have started my first WNW kit, the Sopwith Pup.
The show is always held over the remembrance week end and next year will be the 100th anniversary of the ending of WW1. Many clubs will probably have this as their theme and we are no exception. We are Doing "WW1, Remembrance". We have modellers from many different genres and I build aircraft. I have only ever built one WW1 aircraft model and that was the Eduard Fokker DVII. I have a few WNW kits and although I have really wanted to build them I have many WW2 models on the go and I didn't feel that I could do these models justice so I haven't built one.
The fact that It will be the 100th anniversary of the ending of the "War to end all Wars" then this is the time. I basically have a year to build 4 models! I laugh at that it won't happen but I will (I intend) to build one at a time and those (or the one) that I finish will be on the club display.
I will be painting on all markings including all the complicated stuff on the Baverian Albatross and the fish scheme on the Roland C.II.
I also plan something that might be a little bit special using the Encore Models S.E.5a, which includes resin details and a resin figure of McCudden.
So wish me luck
