OK! I'm in. Enlisted, and will be building a 1/35 MiniArt Valentine Mk. VI Canadian. I'll be converting her to showcase a track from the Pacific campaign (c. 1944 Solomons) by adding a 6 lb'r AB barrel, and a set of Bronco workable tracks (early type). Stowage will be a mix of AM resin and scratchbuilt pieces. Not sure if I'll add any figures. I will also be switching to Steinlager for the duration of this build.

I'm in! I have quite a number of possibilities just not sure what yet I'm leaning towards doing a Staghound from 19th armoured regiment in Italy. Or possibly doing a Bren Gun carrier from the Maori battalion as in the pic previously posted.

Bonus. Found an Academy 1/72 P-40N with RNZF decals and an Airfix 1/72 Canberra with RAAF decals!

Well Chris, you're in luck. I finished an RNZAF Corsair I, but no RAAF planes. However I really don't have room for the Canberra, so I'll probably go with the P-40N.

I have the Canberra in 1/48 and 1/72 love the kits they're just fantastic. However the rudder is a problem the lines on it aren't actually on the airframe, not sure what Airfix were thinking! I have a correction for it in 1/72 which I'll try before I get the 1/48, as puttying might just be as successful. I've also just picked up a 1/48 Photo recon bird which while the RNZAF didn't fly them I think they look pretty cool.

I have a question,i know is early but i am short on my modeling budget and i prefere prepare my self in advance,my plan is to make a figurine of Chaforce soldier douring the Kokoda campain,i read they received KD uniforms and web equipment re-dyed in "Jungle Green" still wet and dripping with dye,that's owesome because leave me a lot of freedom but i like to start with the right base color before play with the oils,someone can give me a reference for the Aussie "Jungle Green"?...

I find myself liking the ribbon Franck has created does anyone object if we use it for this coming campaign?

After rummaging around on the interwebs I found this snippet of information that may be of some use.

Australians went over to Jungle Green in 1943.
Vallejo Colours I used were

888 Olive Grey or/and 887 Brown Violet for uniforms.
921 English Uniform for the hats.
890 Reflective Green for helmets
886 Green Grey for webbing and gaiters
818 Red Leather for boots.

I wouldn't say this is definitive but it gives you a starting point. You could also ask the crew at Historicus Forma one of our sister sites as figures is their specialty just click browse sites at the top left of the page and there will be a link to the site.

Ribbon looks great. Now to see if this Up/Overer can do the Down/Underers proper!!

Great to see such interest here, especially at this significant time.

I'm liking the ribbon, it has all of the elements. All of the images I have played with haven't come up well in ribbon format. I do have a nice banner that I am putting together to promote the Campaign though, stay tuned.

I agree the ribbon Franck has designed captures the ANZAC spirit so I'll vote for it.
For this campaign I am thinking of a six inch gun and some lemon squeezers with a bit of a twist if the form of a diorama.

I'll build:
- the CA-13 from special hobby in 1:48
- An australian Meteor who took part in the korea war in 1:72

Michael now there's something I'd like to see an artillery diorama!

Hi Chris, Michael, Damian and all others.

I know we are months out from the campaign but I am looking for what subject to do. Since I have been doing a lot of planes I thought I might switch up, but not sure yet.

I have a WWI Mk IV. and found this information:
"Only available in small quantities by mid-1918, the impact of the Mark V was not significant, but three months later, they were numerous enough to make a difference. The first major engagement was the battle of Hamel, on 7 July 1918, when 60 tanks led the victorious offensive of the Australian troops against the German lines."

I can not find any markings for ANZAC Mk IV. though do any of you have any information that might help?

Also I found this image which has a nice scheme but it looks more like German paint for WWI than Allies.
Do you know anything about it or if they actually had tanks in this scheme?

I could also possibly do a WWII Stuart.

Hi Jeff well the soldiers definitely look Aussie! If the tanks were attached to the Aussies and under their control for the battle then I'd be happy to let you build it. As for the camo look at this link

There were tanks used at the various battles of Gaza in Palestine so that's another possibility as they were with Aussie, Kiwi and English troops.

Other than that there was a MkIV female that toured Aussie raising funds for the war named "Grit".
