Hi Everyone,
I have to call this Sagittario complete. It's really been hard for me to stomach working on it as it has been one disaster after another.

This campaign saved it from the bin or from laying on a shelf accumulating dust for years.

Sorry I didn't go through the weathering. I really wasn't sure what to do with the dark color scheme. I didn't want to dilute it, and the surface detail didn't really warrant bringing out.

Thank you Chris for organizing and running the campaign.

Hi Gaz my thanks for your participation! The Saggitario looks good despite it being a dog of a kit. Something my late dad would call "character building" LOL. It will have taught you lessons that you'll take on to the next short run horror .... uh I mean kit.

Gary,

As Chris stated, despite its short comings the model came out very nicely. Congrats. I do not have a 1/48 version of the Sagittario, I need to get me either that one or flying machines. I only have 2 different 1/72 versions.

Just a 1 image update.
Here is where I am decaling completed and working on landing gear and the rest.

Jeff,
Thank you! The shape of it it's quite nice and may tempt me again if I can find a nice enough kit from a reputable brand.

Gary,

I believe the only games in town in 1/48 are the Jays Model, Flying Machines and Falcon. Each of them according to reviews have their own challenges,(Not that I care to much for what others say. To me it is all part of the fun of modeling)
When I go to Seattle show in April I will be looking for one at the right price.(I'm cheap).

Right now all I have is the 1/72 Super Model and RS kits. Oh yeah I do have the Modelland VacuForm kit but I am not sure I will ever try to tackle that one.

Looking great Jeff! I like your take on the camo I might consider trying something similar on the next camo scheme I do.

Michael we're near the end of this campaign and we have several builds that are close to completion can I garner a 4 week extension of the campaign to help them reach the finish line?

Great work gentlemen! I look forward to seeing these builds completed!

I think I can see my way clear to granting that. But that'll be it, everyone, so get cracking!

Well I can finally call my Mc.200 Saetta Serie 1 finally done I've got it weathered and dull coated which has tied it all in rather nicely. Now to get some gallery shots taken and put up. Here are a few pics to see what it looks like now.

Hi all this is my G55. Encountered some fit issues and had to break out the putty. I also ended up with a bit of step on the starboard wing. I did start painting it in the patchwork camo pattern but with time now an issue with me I have given it a nice all over coat of Olive. I would like to revisit this kit when I have more time.

Linus,
I really like the camo on your machine. I hope when you get it finished, we can see the final result.

Hi Gaz and thanks! For a resin kit it had it's issue peculiar to the medium but I really liked the kit. I might look for some of the others in this series.

Hi Linus Are you aware of the 4 week extension provided by admin for this campaign? The G.55 looks awesome! Fiat had some really nice designs just let down by the lack of an engine with sufficient power.

I have completed my Centaur. It worked out ok but not as good as I had hoped. Here are some pics. I need to take more on a white background.

SO I managed to get some time on the bench. This kit is testing me dearly...it's pushing me to the limits of my (rather limited) modelling skills and my (even more limited) patience. I've lost count of the number of times i reached for the reset device but each time I forced myself to carry on.

The reset device in the upper left side of the table

Operation Gap Filling in progress

I've glued the wings after the last picture was taken and that has created some more gaps to be filled. I will be finishing it with all hatches closed as the sprue with all the weapons is also missing....along with one prop blase, one engine exhaust and one clear part.

I have some free time coming up in 2 days time and I hope to get the building part done and start on the painting part. I also have to finalise the camo. Till then

Linus fantastic work on the G.55 I really like the camo and weathering elegant in it's simplicity! I know it's not what you had originally envisaged for the kit but it'll be a great addition to the gallery.

Hi Raj! Fantastic work there Raj your skill set seems just fine to me. Airfix's older kits are quite a challenge and I for one really hope they do a new mould of the SM.79 given their latest offerings it would no doubt be a stunner. looking forward to seeing how you fix the other issues!

I finished off my Ro.57
Here are some pics.

Also, I am wondering if any one in the NW US is going to the Seattle show this month. I do not do many (a grand total of 4 since 2005, but since my son and his family live up there we are going to visit and I am thinking about going.

Love it Jeff! Your choice of brown stands out better than mine does. Love the kit and what you've done with it and the fact that it's braille scale makes it all the more impressive.
