the next one up is the Zvezda F4. I will be building this one with the engine open and the wings removed. It will go together with the Hobbyboss F and the Revell F in a hangar diorama. This one is so nice, good fit and extreme detail. here it is so far.

the wings will be placed on saw horses and some additional wiring and tubing will be installed then.

next up is the Academy G14 AS so here it is ready for paint


this one comes with the early short tail and you must cut the fuselage and install the taller wooden tail, a little bit tricky as it is not on a panel line but it worked out.

Do you mount the spinners on some sort of slow rotating drill/tool when painting the spiral or is more like a 'freehand' thing and holding your breath?

This is turning into a fantastically varied display of 109s! You really should submit it as a showcase Feature when you put the final touches to the last one you tackle. Seeing them all together on one page would look amazing.

The first time I did it I think the idea of it was harder than the work. I just free hand it but I use a paint called Reaper for the brush work and it flows real well and so I just paint a spiral line and then make it thicker after I get it where I want it. Just try it and see how it goes. I have had varied results with decals but this way it is pretty consistent

this one is now done, I did a little something different with the canopy on this one, i see in a lot of pictures that the bungee that holds the opening part of the canopy is broken or missing so decided to try that look.

The next one I will do is the newer Hobbyboss G2, it is the same exact kit as the F model with different decals, truth is it is a more accurate early G than an F so it will work out well. I am going to do this one in Romanian markings from the great book by Teodor Liviu Morosanu Dan Melinte called Messerschimitt BF 109 in Romania.

Amazing work, sir. I am in awe, really. I'm also inspired and have picked up the Revell G10 for less than £10 on eBay. Happy days ahead.

Each Bf109 is certainly a master build. The F4 without the wings on, and the open engine bay is truly amazing. I can't wait to see this diorama.

here is the G2 done in Romanian markings

next I will do a pair of K4's the one on the top in darker grey plastic is the Hasegawa and other is Fujimi. The Hasegawa is as good as they all are but the Fujimi is almost as good as the Hasegawa and is a big step up from the earlier G model that I have posted.

cockpits ready to install, I like that you glue the fuse together and then stick the office in from below, so you don't get the sanding dust inside it.
