Fonthill Media have published an expanded and updated edition of Robert Kirby's superb study of the Avro Manchester. Each stage of the aircraft's mercifully brief career is explored in painstaking detail.

Great review Rowan, the book does sound fascinating.
We just need a main stream kit of the Manchester now.

not necessarily andy!

the main reference work i had when building this model was a book that also was a reference for the lancaster and lincoln, although is now after my build i'm certainly going to see about getting a copy of this book.

.....and airfix have certainly had a program of interesting new kits recently so you never know!

its actually a conversion (my first) from a dambusters lancaster built by me in the early 90's then progressively damaged over the years, plus a resin conversion kit from HBM bought via ebay.
