I have a tube of Mr. Hobby Clear adhesive (MJ199) and am having issues with it not setting up. The packaging is in Japanese and I have not found any English instructions beyond using acetone or lacquer thinner to clean up excess.

Is this supposed to get hard when dry or does it stay flexible? It does set up clear but even after 24 hours is still kind of rubbery. I don't know if that is normal of if I have a faulty batch. Maybe old stock, who knows.

I recommend using white glue. It can be reduced and excess removed, with water.

Can you either post or PM me a photo of the back of the package? May be able to glean more from that. Front doesn't say much other than it's intended for plastic models, but can be used for other things.

Thanks for the quick reply. I took some Japanese many years ago but didn't get past Hiragana and can't even translate that now.

First time adding a photo in a post, here. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the reply. I have used PVA in the past and it works, OK. I got this other adhesive on sale and was hoping it would make a more solid connection but so far, no.
