What was the basic color Germans used on vehicles, artillery, etc., in WWl? Gray?...Field Gray? Not the camo...just the basic color.

In the 90's a study was done while restoring an A7v. Feldgrau is the term of the color. Studied weapons show that feldgrau can vary from gray to green.
