ok long story short.

whilst using filler thinned down with liquid poly to try to smooth out the damaged paint, the liquid poly started to attack the orange paint.
so much so i was actually able to strip it completely off!

so all i had to do was re mask them and spray them again

and then i just forged ahead and she's all done now-

Great build Phil, that is a quite impressive wingspan.

Awesome Phil that looks really nice,

I hoped to find some decals today at a hobby show however I was not able to succeed, so for the moment I keep it on that the aircraft left the Fokker factory building and it's awaiting the Dutch national insignia to be painted on prior delivery, when a suitable is found I will add it.

The last picture is with a relic I kept which is my work clothing from my time at the Fokker factory.

Thanks

OK, this campaign is officially ended. Congrats to all who finished, nice work everyone! Ribbons have been awarded based on entries in the gallery so if you didn't get one and think you should have, let me know.

Until I can see the top of my workspace, I'll have to watch this campaign. Give me a few months to organize.
Already a wide variety getting going here-- heavy on the English so far.

Well, 3 1/2 years later... I found the top of my workspace, worked with a friend in the business to make a decal set, and I built up this guy. University of Wisconsin Med-Flight from a Revell Germany EC-135 kit.

To make a static display in the air, I tried some rotor blur effect with clear plastic and light painting, even though the internet told me not to try it. Kind of hokey, but fun nonsense too.
Anyway, Cheers!
