Guy's and Gal's so you know that I've been busy here's one I completed for the Leyte Gulf campaign in Model Shipwrights.

It's the USS Hoel, lost during the battle when in company with two other destroyers and a destroyer escort they took on the might of the Jap navy whilst defending their charge of 6 escort carriers. The battle was close enough that the Jap destroyers got close enough to the carriers to fire torpedoes while the little US tin cans got so close to the Jap battleships that even the 20mm AA guns got used and the 14" and 18" guns on the battleships could not be depressed enough to hit them back, the shells going over their heads.

So this is the USS Hoel using the Trumpeter 1/350 USS Sullivans, Fletcher class square bridge destroyer with the L'Arsenal upgrade set, Lifecolor paints and AK washes

Luciano,

Fine Tin Can you have there! I think the square bridge on the Fletcher-Class is a smart looking ship.

Thanks guys, forgot to add this last photo of the signal flags which got added after the other photos were taken.

They are the radio callsign of the USS Hoel: Nan - Able - X-ray - Yoke (US Navy WWII phonetic)
