Thanks Joel. Yeah, the Lego jig saved me on this one because the nose strut had to go in before I was ready to do the mains. Hopefully I will make some progress on the sub-assemblies this week. I have my decal option picked out, finally. It's going to be "JEANIE II" from the 355th TFW flown by then Capt. Jack Spillers. I also will have a THUD 100 Mission patch to go with the completed build.

Well, I am calling the F-105 done. I used the Albatross "Thud Alley" decal sheet to depict "I Dream of Jeanie/Jeanie II" from the 357th TFS, 355th TFW, Takhli RTAFB, 1967. This aircraft was flown by Capt. Jack Spillers who completed 114 missions, finishing out with the 388th TFW at Korat. "Jeanie II" survived the conflict as well but was later lost in the 70's while serving in the Virginia ANG. This build is dedicated to all the Thud aircrews who went North and to all the ground crews who helped get them there.

Been a long ride to the finish, but it was sure worth. Your cameo paint scheme and weathering certainly has that used but not abused operational look to it. Very nicely done.
