Hi all,

today i'll join with a build of the Tornado ECR 46+45 at the Tigermeet 1996.

using the still best Tornado Kit in 1/72 from Revell:

I hope to get this complete, after a bad start into this year.

Some beautiful choices for builds in this tread.

Looking great, Lee. I can see why Microsol is becoming scarce

Looking forward to follow everybodys builds.

Hi mates,
at last I got to work in earnest at my Stratotanker.
Build is going straightforward, only a little fit issue with the joint of engine pylons and wings, but could be fixed with some sanding.

Now comes some painting and maybe the details this weekend Cheers to you

Progress! I am a bit slow but I am maintaining my slow crawl to the finish line with this build. I bow have the Swiss Hornet essentially painted. The next step is an overall glass coat and then on to the decals. Here is how it looks wearing its colors:

Have fun modeling!

@Mike - Nice going on your Hornet!

Hi there,

here's my nearly finished Stratotanker a few days ago, still waiting for a coat of the german version of Future , then the decals and tanking boom. As Pentecost Monday is a public holiday here in Germany, I'm going to start decaling today
Cheers

Well, I have a little bit of an update to this GB. My Hornet now has some color on it! I have just finished the decal step and now need to overcoat the model in clear. Here is how it looks right after applying the decals. I had quite a bit of problems with the small stencils coming off the model but fortunately, these are difficult to see anyway as they blend right in.

Have fun modeling!

Ribbon?

Yes, the campaign ribbon for the finishers? The campaign was over on 1st of July, I think.

Sorry to everyone about how long it took to award ribbons. I didn't realize we had lost Lee. I hope he's OK!

I have awarded ribbons now to everyone who posted in the gallery. Please let me know if you didn't get one but think you should have.
