Nice one Jessie!

Beautiful work on a really unusual kit and subject!

All being well, I will get back to my own Eindecker before long...

All the best

I took advantage of our beautiful Left Coast weather to get some naturally sunlit shots. I like what the shadows of the rigging are doing

More photos in the build log on the Early Aviation forum, as usual.

There's always time to start another stringbag.

This time I'm doing a surprisingly advanced aircraft for 1915, the Nieuport 10. The Nieuport 10 was built for the Gordon Bennett Air Race of 1914. Since of course that didn't happen, the aircraft was snapped up by the French Army, who used it as a reconnaissance/scout aircraft in a two seat configuration. Later, as the need to fighters became evident, the -10 was converted to single seat, either at the front, or in the factory. There were several different variants of the single seat fighter. Most were armed with a single Lewis gun fitted above the centre section of the upper wing, but again the mountings could vary from aircraft to aircraft. Not all that long ago, Special Hobby released a kit of this fairly rare aircraft.

I made a start by spraying about some Tamiya Wooden Deck Tan to do the base coat of the wooden structure.

There are some pretty ugly ejector pin towers inside the cockpit that will need to be chiselled out before I start painting the fabric.

Hello,
I've decided to withdraw from this campaign.
In terms of modelling I will focus on my F1 cars.
I cannot find the attitude to build within this campaign.

Well I'm late to the party and with a canvas falcon a few others have chosen. According to the WNW blurb I think it just sneaks in for the timeframe, but if not, no matter.

I will start a separate build log in a day or so once I have opened the instructions and see what I need to do.

cheers

Well it still seems pretty empty in this campaign.
Well done Jessica beautiful build.

Nearly there now with the Morane, just the wings to glue and then the rigging.

Happy modelling

Thanks Thomas!

Nice work so far everyone. I'm afraid that scheduling long campaigns sometimes means that people get started late. Hopefully things will pick up!

That is one very smart looking model Martin. Looking forward to seeing the finished result.
I have a couple of campaigns finishing this week so I'm planning on making a start on my Morane next week.

Made a start on my Morane this evening. It's a very basic kit and as such I will build OOB. It's too tiny and I have other campaigns to start to worry about getting bogged down in detail.
I've started by clening up the fuselage and wings. One wing has needed a little bit of filler on the edges. I am debating whether or not to replace the 'engine'. It's the one thing I really don't like but I live in hope that the big spinner will hide it. Some test fitting will be needed to see.

I'm also not sure if Russia's Type I's had an interupter gear or used deflector plates on the props. If they had the plates I'll have to scratch build some.
Any help would be appreciated.

In keeping with the early war theme I will be building the 1/48 Special Hobby kit 48071 of the Lebed VII (it's the Russian copy of the Sopwith Tabloid).
