Russ,

Beautiful work as always! I've been enjoying this build more and more as you approach the finish line. That foredeck looks just right! (Especially the hawse pipi O.H.Sc covers...? )

Russ,

You need to do a tutorial on how you bend your railings. They are all so neat and tidy. Mine always come out looking *rough*

Wow nice work Russ, its a pity you have to put the extra effort into making additional components due to the Northstar failure rate.

Can't wait to see the final pics and completion. Been a long project, but so rewarding.

Thank you Mark She's not perfect but I'm happy with where she's at

Thank you Tim! Hehe, yer a bit of a typo there. Meant to be pipe, not pipi. O.H.S. is an Aussie thing: Occupational, health and safety

Thanks Si I'm gonna need it (luck that is-very nervous I'm gonna knock something off)

Hi Rory. Thank you. I think the main thing is to take your time and if at any moment you think you're gonna lose your mojo, step away from the bench and take a break.

A hold n fold is essential, as is only only working on one piece at a time (two if there's a mirrored part).

I'll try to put some pics up at some point if it helps.

Thanks Ned, it sure has, but I'm proud of the result. TBH I don't mind making double the Northstar stuff. It's good practice and it's not all that costly. And if I get a better score then no doubt I'll find something else to use them on

Thanks Mark. I think I'm more relieved than anything at the moment that I've finally reached the stage where completion is in striking distance.

As always, thanks again to everyone for sticking with the build! Glacier nearly caught!

Russ,

your King looks just awesome, absolutely fantastic work, so crisp and flawless! All your patience really shows and pays off - well, I know it was not always patience, and you had to set har aside from time to time. But you never lost your dedication. Now off for the last steps! Looking forward to her commissioning!

Cheers mate

I'm more relieved than anything at this point that she's built and now I can finish off the final stages.

I know what waiting for the weather is like, although I think my problems with that are at the opposite end of the scale to yours.

Hope it breaks for you soon.

Thanks so much for your kind words guys!

Well here we are on the final laps, ready for her clear coats

and with both gloss and matt coats finished it's time to finally glue down all the guns and add the props at last!

This is the final chapters now guys! Just the rigging and flagstaffs left to apply and she's all done!

My goal is to have this completed by the end of the year...

She's gorgeous. The KGV class is my second favourite class of Battleships and you have done her proud!
