Careful, give me too long and I'll find a new favorite, I haven't done and F-104 in years, there's a F-14A, an F-4 and maybe even an F6F.

#6 Here. Years ago I built an Monogram F-106 and it came out great and was a fun build. So I'm thinking F-102 this time around. Or F-101. Or F-89. Or...I'm sure I'll change my mind right up to the start of the campaign.

Finally! Scored a Tamiya 1/48 F4D Skyray for this campaign off ebay at a price I was happy with.

Would the Canadair CF5(Northrop F5) be eligible for this campaign.
Modelling is something we never perfect. We should never quit learning new tricks and be willing to share what we have learned on our own.

I don't think so, I believe the CF-5 was more of a straight fighter/strike-fighter than a specially configured interceptor. Might fit in the
fighter-bomber campaign though!

The Lightning has such a Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds look to it, which is why it's my favorite British fighter jet.
I just got my F4D Skyray in the other day and I'm really impressed with this Tamiya kit. Not knowing too much about the aircraft other than it qualified for this build when I chose it, after reading up on I'm I'm really glad I chose it. The last aircraft made under the Douglas name, the only pure interceptor in service for the US navy, 0-50K feet in 2 minutes-36 seconds and a design influenced by work of Alexander Lippisch.

Jessie, you made me jealous with that YAK 28 VAC kit. This I would love to see built. I am still having trouble just deciding on an a/c at this time..

I finally decided on a Revell 1/48 F-104G and ordered the kit today for the campaign.

Modelling is something we never perfect. We should never quit learning new tricks and be willing to share what we have learned on our own.

Hmm... I don't know about that, I think they were more fighter-bombers (for which there is also a

As long as one builds a bomber interceptor it should be OK? The wiki definition also includes heavy bomber interceptors - night figthers for example.
Anyway, I am going to build a FW190A-8 sturmbrock. Does not get more bomber interceptor than that - unless I go for the Me 163 Komet that is. Which I might actually do.
